Everything You Need to Know

It has been way too long since I've posted here. Since November!! We have so much to catch up on. Let's start with Christmas and all the end of the year shenanigan's.

I took 10 days off at Christmas this year, which is something I always want to do but then guilt myself into working. It was wonderful! Remind me to do it again this year. Our wedding anniversary is 12/27 so it's nice to be home with the family. I didn't get anything to crazy for Christmas this year. I think a new crockpot was my favorite gift. I finally got rid of my old one that had a recall on it for catching fire but I refused to give it up. I can be stubborn. I also had a little night on the town with all the girls from Midwest Salon. It was so nice to be with a team of people who cheer each other on and also just to get away from the salon and have real conversation and get to know each other on a more personal level. That's something I missed, being in a suite. New Years Eve was fun. I had a little party for the kids and a couple of their friends during the day and then turned around and hosted an adult party at night. By 11:00 I was reminded that I am getting older and how important sleep is to me now.

New Service Announcement

I have had many inquiries about the all new, upgraded, scalp facial that you may have seen on my Instagram. Everyone wants to know what it is exactly. I have always offered a scalp facial treatment that is a treatment for the scalp to promote a healthier scalp for the perfect conditions to grow the best hair. Well, that scalp treatment just got an upgrade! If you are one that loves to treat yourself, or maybe you want to treat your bff, this is for you. See before and after pictures of your scalp under a microscope. You may be a little grossed out, but trust me, we all have a little build up of fatty acids on our scalp. So once we take your before pictures, you pick your favorite choice of scent, we get you nice and cozy in the shampoo bowl and you enjoy a pampering scalp treatment that does include an extended head massage. I know!! Everyone loves the shampoo! After the treatment, I take you back to the salon hair, apply the last of the treatment and then take your after photos of your scalp. Your photos will be emailed to you that day. This service is currently $50 and if it's booked with another service, it includes your blowdry. I will note that if we do any on the scalp lightening, we cannot do this treatment the same day.

Extensions

I have spent the last year perfecting my craft of handtied extensions. I have learned that every head is different and we need to make adjustments to fit each person. It has been so rewarding for me to see the transformations, to see the joy on peoples faces when they feel like they finally have hair.

Square App and Booking Appointments

Did you know that Square has an app where you can find me, along with other local service providers, and book your appointment? I didn't even know this, and I use it daily. I just happened to come across it and knew i needed to share. It's a great way to book your appointment and keep track of your appointments. If you are looking for it, it's called the Square Go app. You do not have to use this, just wanted you to know it's available.

As many of you have already noticed, I have changed the way my service menu looks. You will now see packages along with some ala carte items and your haircut. I have sort of dumbed it down and created packages based on time. If you ever have any questions about what you should book, please do not hesitate to reach out. Also, any new client needs to fill out the form thats on my website. From there, I will tell them exactly what to book.
